Robert Lonardo has been a business man since he was in high school. As young man a growing up in Rhode Island, he worked in various restaurants and performed as a male model. After he graduated from the University of Southern California in 2001, Robert worked in the corporate world for a short period of time before deciding to strike out on his own in the business world.
Roberts first entrepreneurial venture was a promotions business. This enterprise became quite well known for its role in promoting the opening of Club Envy at USC, which quickly became a hot spot. It opened to rave reviews and is still a very popular party place for the locals and visitors alike.
After successfully promoting Club Envy, Robert formed Union Marketing Group with two partners, Larry Castruita and Jesse Caetano. Robert and his partners became so popular with the local club owners and A-List party goers that they decided to add party planning and brand marketing to club promoting. It was a great idea and very successful. Robert worked very hard promoting clubs and parties and soon his company was the hottest promotion company in town. Since that town happened to be Los Angeles CA this was quite an accomplishment.
With Union Marketing Group off to a successful start, Robert sold his portion of the business to his partners and went on to become a loan officer at South Bay Funding. While there, Robert learned how to become an even better sales person- in fact, the number one sales person of 2005. It was after this achievement that Robert went on to work for International Funding Solutions, where he was ranked as the number two sales person for the year. His stellar performance attracted the attention of Platinum Capital Group where he soon worked as a manager of teams of 20 or more loan officers.
All of this experience in the banking industry helped Robert to get to the point where he was ready to go out on his own and open up a branch of the Apex Mortgage Company. Then in 2007 Robert decided to start a mortgage brokerage firm. As the owner of International Funding Solutions Robert held mortgage broker licenses in over 35 states across the U.S. When the mortgage market imploded, Robert used his considerable talents to aid clients in loss mitigation under the banner of Mitigation Online Consultants. This company was quite successful and enabled him to retire from the mortgage industry in 2009.
